Lushed is a small Black-owned business located in New York, founded by Afiya, an ambitious young entrepreneur. The idea for Lushed came about when I transformed my hobby into a business. My journey began in my early teens when I created candles with my aunt purely for fun, and years later, I decided to share my craft with others. I enjoy making realistic food candles as they challenge my creativity. Our candles are crafted from a soy-blend wax, which I find easy to work with and offers great advantages, including cleaner burning, extended burn, and wonderful scent throw.
